A couple of weeks ago I took this political policy matching survey:

  http://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz

  with these results:

  http://www.isidewith.com/results/317635188

It's official -- I'm slightly to the left of Bob Crane.*

Mind you, I've always been a Marxist. That is, a Groucho Marxist: one who would not join any Party that would have me as a member. As such I've always registered as a small "i" independent and voted in every election for which I qualified.

My sister Kimberly insists that I was the only student in our middle school -- 6th, 7th, & 8th grades -- in 1972 who in the mock elections [tallied by the real voting booths delivered by the Elections Department to our school on the Monday before the official election] voted for McGovern.

This is a canard. Out of hundreds of students, approximately two dozen students voted for McGovern. I voted against Nixon.

Anyway, I invite you to take the survey and post links to your results here. I showed you mine.

*[Crane's co-star who played his TV character's daughter's boyfriend on the 1975 The Bob Crane Show once commented that the only subject on which he and Crane could agree was that the Russian Revolution was a Communist plot.]

By Ray Stevens.

People can just get along if they try.

That's why America's great -- we all don't have to walk in lockstep.

Thanks for posting.

I was disappointed with the lack of a "I don't give a damn" option. Even setting the priority low still registers an opinion. I can't make myself care if marijuana is legal or not.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? My poor civil war story is floundering worse than the Confederate navy and the zombies haven't even shown up yet.

No, I'm simply chugging along.

PhilCon's next weekend and I'm prepping for that.

Sorry that I was so dilatory in responding.

Do you enjoy Cherie Priest?

Good hunting on NaNoWriMO.

I've had her reccomended to me but don't recall reading anything.

I'm losing at WriMo. November really is a bad month for it, losing a day which is almost inevitable for USAians is a crushing blow. You look at the numbers needed to make it up and start losing hope. I'm 3000 words in the hole and trying to rewrite the stream of consciousness mess my first try at it resulted in. This time I've made diagrams of the action, John Madden would approve.
